What kind of BS is this!! Grand Am road racer J.C. France, the son of International Speedway Corp.’s Jim France, escaped the drug possession and driving under the influence charges that had been filed against him after he was pulled over Oct. 8 after running a red light. The charges ...were thrown out because the officer who pulled France over was outside his jurisdiction.

Fantino wouldn't have helped since Helena Gueurgis' husband essentially got let go on the same thing after being pulled over by the OPP.

The CBC had a feature on how many mistakes the OPP made while having Mr. Jaffer in custody. They had to let him go based on technicalities.

(Had Jim France been strip-searched, by the way, at any time?)

The question on my mind is who the heck wants to drive against or drive with a guy that's KNOWN to have used cocaine???

Grand-AM is kidding on their requirements here, right? Seriously, let's give a cocaine addict the ability to drive a car at 180MPH with a bunch of other highly skilled drivers who don't have brain damage from drug use. I've never heard of a driver pulling their career out of the drink after it becoming known they were a drug addict....

Grand-Am/ NASCAR policy is to make disciplinary ruling decision based on private doctor's opinion.

These sanctioning bodies are not providing/demanding medical exams.

It is the private doctor's ethical position that matters to them.
We know that doctors are human too (i.e. can be bought), as well quite many doctors are being substance abusers themselves.

So, the other drivers that share the same piece of track, have very little recourse to protest a fellow driver's questionable health.

Pretty sure the his brain damage existed before the cocaine...

Now we all go, 'Ahhhh, that's why the man was filled with so much rage...' when we recall his on track punch up's at the Glen and in Mexico. And here I just thought it was a huge sense of entitlement and being a spoiled brat.
