Results from today's (November 9th) autoslalom are now posted on WOSCA's website. Congratulations to Daniel Fryer for both FTD and the event win!

Daniel Fryer (WRX in ESS) was fastest time of the day again!! That makes twice in 3 events! Congratulations Daniel.
I guess putting the springs on the car was a mistake as that puts me in ESS now against the WRX cars. I have my work cut out for next year. I checked the regional event raw times and Daniel was consistently 1-2 seconds faster than me all year. Yesterday on street rubber he was almost 4 seconds faster.
I think I lost some time learning the the new suspension and running on streets but if I should (MUST) pick back up a couple of seconds to be within a second next year. That is still a huge difference in the same class and I can't see getting anywhere close to a win next year against the WRX cars. Crapp! Tony Kloostermann should give Daniel a run through.
Congratulations again Daniel.

Doug, For a nominal fee or small bribe I can be persuaded to move up to ESP! :D ;)
Actually I'm sitting on the fence with this one as is. I really want to add an Anti lift Kit and/or Front Camber Plates for next season, but the problem is that would automatically bump me straight into ESP. Although, with my little bit of success recently in ESS, I'm wondering if that would be a mistake!?
The part that I'm having the toughest time figuring out though is why I've felt so much more comfortable in the last few events. I think it may have something to do with the combination between a more relaxed environment and the fact that I must still be more comfortable on street tires. I was actually more successful in the early part of the Regional Season when I was still on streets than I was on R's in the second half. It then wasn't until near the very end of the season that I really started to figure out the R's. Just in time for the weather to change and become too cold to run them! :(
I had a great time yesterday (as I always do at the WOSCA events), but I still say that it would be even better if we could convince you guys (Marsh etc...) to add an extra timed run or two to the day. Fun runs are good and all, but the official times runs is what it's all about, IMO anyhow.

So are you telling me that you were faster than me raw time in the Regionals on STREET RUBBER?
What made your car CSP during the year if you are only ESS now?
MOVE UP PLEASE! More competition.

Can we implement uninalysis into the solo 2 sport?
I think Daniel must be "performance enhancing"
Please... we need a sample.
:D
Congrats Daniel!

I tried putting urine on his tires but the run was faster!

Doug, Daniel's car was root classed in BSS, so his suspension made it BSP. Under CNAC rules he gets a real stock class, then moves to ESS.

Miataboi, Not sure what you're getting at!?
Doug, I was actually BSP for this entire Regional Season. I ran streets (same tires I ran yesterday) for the first half of the season, and then R compounds for the second half. Part of my problem was that I also made suspension and exhaust changes (stupidly in too made different stages) throughout the season, so it made it very tough for me to get used to any given set-up.
I found that when I switched to the R's my times actually seemed to be worse for a little while.

Looks like you figured it out now! Save your money and run on streets all year.

I would just like to say thanks to Marsh and all the Wosca club members for organizing these great events to do with your car! I look forward to next season and hope to get some Firebirds out with me next year for a few events. I am a member of 3 car clubs and will definetly add WOSCA to my collection for next year!;)!
And I love the HUGGER orange colour you got here! :D

I'm starting to think it would be best if you stayed in ESS too! :p
You know... you could be faster cause I'm not around at the events lately. After all, I'm not there to spray WD40 on your tires and shove pennies under your brake pads... ;)
