BMW Harness

Anyone have an E36 BMW with 5 point harnesses? Where did you put the anchor points? Looks like a tremendous pain in the ass. Guess BMW doesn't want anyone racing these things :-)

You wouldn't believe the number of E36s out there with cages and harnesses. For every one of them the owner/installers had to fashion something new. John Dimoff at Raven Performance (905-477-1800) installed mine and he basically drilled through the floor pan.

btw, I sincerely don't recommend using a 5-point harness without having roll-over protection installed, such as a rollbar. If your upper body is strapped securely to the seat your neck will be snapped if the car rolls and the A-pillar comes down, even in a BMW.
