roll cage question....?

we show in the solo rule book...

2001-3500lb cars must use mild steel dom tubing of 1.75 inch x.120thou wall thickness

CASC in thier rule book says...

over2500lbs 1.50inch x.120thou dom mild steel....

well i just bought 122ft of 1.50inch .120thou friggen DOM tubing since i wanted it to be in accordance with CASC in case i ever go regional racing...only to now see that our solo 1 rules differ from CASCS .... can i ask why? (i am on the ccc so no mocking)

i want to use the 1.50 x.120 thou stuff that i already bought

I'm being lazy and not looking this up but I think the Solo 1 spec you're reading is for a roll bar (not full cage). The CASC spec is for cages.
