We are currently trying to determine a date that would be suitable for the CNAC, that will be held in the greater Montreal area in 2004.
Before we set the date, we want to be sure that the Ontario region hasn't set any Provincial dates in July or August that we are not aware of.
These are the 2 months we are shooting for and we also hope to have a big Ontario turn-out.

Let me know as your dates come together.

For the new people could you elaborate as to what 2004 CNAC is??

In simple terms, it's a lot of fun!

CNAC: Canadian National Autocross Championship

Play with the "big boys (and girls)" from across the country, some people from the states too!

It's a two day event that takes place on a BIG BIG lot somewhere.
I was at the event in PEI this past summer, loads of fun, you will like it.

The event at Slemon in PEI in August was just the Eastern Championships this year. (Might explain the 60 some competitors this year vs 95+ last year) The National event was in Red Deer. It goes back and forth east/west every year. Chances are it'll be Slemon again in 2006.

Regardless Slemon is a great time no matter what the title on the tshirt. :)

The PEI was the Eastern Nationals...

I was at the 2003 CNAC out in Red deer

next year the 2004 CNAC will be in Montreal.

and the western provinces will have a Western Championships

at least thats how them there out in Red deer explained it too me...

anyways I'll be at both The 2004 CNAC and the western nationals provided they are not on the same date.

(and I'm going to try for the Iron Butt award in the regionals and attend all of them as well)

I might have to hit you up for a co drive in the focus as stated on the other thread huh?I doubt I'll have a suitable car for a competitive class in solo2 next year so I better start begging for a co drive now!;)

I'm happy to hear there is a lot of enthusiasm surrounding CNAC 2004. As the host club, we hope to make this the biggest Solo happening in Canada. We will be happy to have you all over for some competition and great fun at night.
In 2003, we made our Provincial round in Montreal an invitational, and we had 128 competitors at PMG.
We hope to top that this summer.
I'll keep you guys posted as the date becomes clear.

Being originally from MTL, I always welcome any excuse to visit the home town.

Are you free to publish any of the tentative dates?

PMG is a great facility, I was one of the 8 people that came down there from Toronto. Yep, one of the contraversial Subaru guys, nevertheless, the event was well run, the course was fast and flowing, not to mention the "Strong" competitive nature.

We're looking forward to attending again this year.

Maybe if the venue is interesting. 8 hours isn't worth the drive just to have David Larose hand me my ass on a platter.
