Just wondering, I'm not even sure if it will be ready by then but I thought I would ask.

I want to try a slightly narrower tire on a 7" rim, so I suppose depending on cost I will run this new tire.
The issue is that initial sizes will be limited.
205-50-15 will suit me just fine though.

If they're out on time I will. The word is they're going to make a 225/45-15 in the 710. I'll risk a new tire to get that size. I had that size in the Ecsta and loved the gearing, but hated the tire. I almost never had a track where the gearing wasn't right for me. This year 1/2 the events had me stuck between 1st and 2nd.

That's OK Marsh, you can stay stuck between 1st and 2nd next year too, I don't mind!!!
You will run that size on a 7" wheel?
I want to step down from a 225 to a 205 next year because I had to run front pressures too high to stop rollover. I ate the middle of my front tires, but the outsides are still healthy.

I have a similar problem, but don't think the loss of size is worth it. My tire temperatures aren't that bad. What I need is more negative camber. You might see me playing with ride height again next year. (ugh, multiple corner weighting sessions again = not fun!)

On the Hankook USA site and they have an R-compound listed. Not much details are posted though, so I'm not sure if it's good for autocross, but should certainly be cheap. It's nice that some other players want in on this tire war.

The hankook is a road race compound I believe as its a spec tire for one or more spec series. The new 710 looks promising,in a 225-45 that I want as well. The new hoosier that is to be a spec tire for the scca as well looks identical to the 710.
I need this tire out on time as I think I'll have some serious issues trying to fit 225-50's on the crx.
