My favorite has to be Silence of the Lambs. Scared the living shit outta me. Especially the eating of other humans. Yuck..can't wait for Hannibal though.

I like the Empire Strikes Back, IMO the best Star Wars ever.
The Hunt for Red October, awesome movie to watch.
Gladiator, breath takingly good, man I wish I am watching it right now....:D

Oddly enough, I am watching Gladiator right now.
It has a couple of obviously computer-generated scenes in it, but it's just an awesome movie from every angle IMHO.
Road Warrior is still my favourite movie of all time. I know, I'm a freak.

It is hard to pick just one.
I love:
The Matrix
Gladiator
Heat
Fight Club
The Crow
The Way of the Gun

Man how could I forget Matrix, that movie was great too....
Shaman

Yeah, the original Crow was good... the follow up was *really* bad. The City of Angels or something? It looked like a cheap made-for-TV ripoff.

Well, it sucked because Brandon Lee wasn't it. Why wasn't he in it? He died in the first one. They used real bullets instead of fake in one of the scenes. What a shame. You know there was a third one too.

A Clockwork Orange and Goodfellas. Or Spinal Tap, or Die Hard, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Lost Boys, Rollerball, Rounders, Brazil, or about 50 other movies. The true classics I guess, the ones people really watch, not the Gone With the Wind/Charlie Chaplin kind of classics.

I heard that the crow 3 is worse than 2. I could that be. I thought number 2 was the worst movie of all time.

Do you wanna know what's the worst of all time(IMO)? The Great Gatsby, man that movie sucks so badly it's not even funny...

Has anyone seen The Way of the Gun? It didn't do that well at the box office but I though it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. The director and writer of "The Usual Suspects" also did this flick. It is definately worth seeing.

Hey! I liked The Great Gatsby.:) Not a great movie, but one of the best novel adaptations I've seen. It manages to be two hours long and still keep all the book's meaning.
My favourite of all time would be Braveheart.
Dylan_Michael
01-19-2001, 12:55 PM
Braveheart was good..very good..but the thrill of the Lambs being Silenced by a cannibal wins over it:). Very odd that Lector. Ate people. Nice guy, but very odd....damn this sugar does a job on you!

Saving Private Ryan rocks.
I have that one on DVD. And I have a 61" television and a sound theatre system with Dolby 6.1 in my living room... so it just totally rocks watching that flick.

It must be awesome on a big screen. I didn't see it in the cinema, it must have such an impact.

Obsessed? Nah just kidding. :)
El Mariachi (a name I use in Counterstrike) is the film Robert Rodriguez made first. Desperado was the higher budget remake that he was able to make when Hollywood found him. He made El Mariachi on a very low budget and edited it on a couple of VCRs. Because of this he is kind of a god to many young filmmakers.

Actually I am obsessed ...
... by women (and she's one of the sweeeeetest I've ever seen). They are merciless but I can't live without them:D
Shaman
01-19-2001, 03:08 PM
Merciless. Yeah, some of them could be called that.
It's totally different for women. One in 50 guys has a magnetism that people can't resist. One in 10 women doesn't. So, basically, most women can play it fast and loose and break as many hearts as they want.

I have never seen El Mariachi but I really love Desperado. It is definately in my top 10 movies of all-time.

Well Sha, if that's the case, in my relationship I'm the 50th guy and she's the 10th girl. And I'm not trying to gloat... I just don't understand why I can't feel something for a total sweetheart of a girl who really likes me :(

Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Fight Club, Stars Wars 4,5 and 6.

I also have to add the Postman to the list, and Wyatt Earp. I forgot both of them. Postman got hammered when it came out, and sales hurt because of that. But I like it a lot. And Wyatt Earp is just friggin cool! Thats on tonight on TNT at 8 if anyone wants to watch.

I didn't add the Bond films because I like all of them, adn they are in a league with themselves, therefore its unfair to all the movies that bow down to them.

* Pulp Fiction
* Reservoir Dogs
* Scarface
* and of course the James Bond movies

I find Golder Eye not as good as the previous ones and the ones that follows, not enough car, bond girl not as attractive.....it's more of a transition bond film into the 90s.....

I forgot about Scarface.
Also Brian DePalma's other Pacino film Carlitos Way.
