Bob Attrell

Sad to report the passing of Bob Attrell Sr. last Monday. I knew Bob from his early racing days at Harewood and Mosport. Later he went vintage racing with a Corvette and then a Cortina.

He was the founder of Attrell Toyota in Brampton and his son Bob currently races a Hyundai.

Bob was the sponsor of my first road race car a Toyota Corolla GT car. His Toyota dealership Guild Toyota in Brampton helped me out for a couple of years.

Bob visited me at my shop at Mosport a couple of years ago and we talked about old times.

A great guy and a friend to many.

Wow! I'm very sorry to hear this. I doubt anyone will believe me, but I used to spend time with Mr. Attrell Sr. when I was about 9 years old at Shannonville. He used to pull his motor home up not far from ours when he raced the Cortina. He was also featured in a Toyota commercial in the 1980's that I remember seeing on TV. He was always quite nice to me, given I was an annoying pest at the track :(
