I'm 17 and I have my G2. Am I eligible to participate in SOLO events??
Thanks.

You'll need to have your parent or gaurdian sign a waver for you (any one under 18 has to do this, passenger or competitor). You also must own your car or have written permission from the name on the ownership (having that person pressent to sign your entry is good enough), not that 17 year olds can't afford cars, but many put them in their parents names for insurance reasons.

Oh ok. Would it be ok if I used a '91 Corolla? I'm not in this to win but just to have fun.
Also do we have to be a member to participate? I mean after we sign the waivers can we just have one run on the track??
Finally do they plan to have any meets in Scaroborough? All the meets seem to be far away from Scarborough.
Thanks again.

Far from Scarborough? I drive an hour for my "local" club events, and up to 4 hours for regionals.

I'll be driving 7-8 hours to get to Cayuga (twice) this year.

mAdD INDIAN, are you talking about Solo 2 events or Solo 1? The reason why I ask is because you asked if there are any events in Scarborough.
Just to clarify, Solo 1 events (which is what this message board focuses on) is held on race tracks (Shannonville, Mosport, Cayuga) while Solo 2 events are held in parking lots with pylons.

G Caius, why don't you just say "no solo-2 welcome"

I wasn't trying to imply that at all. I just wanted to make sure that we're all talking about the same discipline.
