View Full Version : National Competitions 2003
Edit: That should be 2004 (Thanks Tom)
Locations? Dates? East? West? Quebec?
It seems this info never gets out until everyone has already booked their vacation.
Anyone?

This year the host club for the Canadian Nationals is CADL in Montreal.
We have a meeting on January 10th where we hope to finalize the date. the venue will most likely be Sanair or ASE, but we haven't ruled out Blainville.(PMG).
I will post official news as it becomes available or email me directly for questions..

Can anyone confirm the date? Their website still has 2003 calendar.
I'll send the BBQ an email and see if there is any steak ready...

Hi,
CADL president told me they were going to decided date and venue this week for the 2004 CNAC. I will let you know.
I think the CWAC (western event) will be held in BC. If anyone is interested I could ask for more info.

yes I'm interested in the BC event ... as well as the Nationals and if there's an event in PEI as well that rocks ... I'd go to that as well ... I hope the events don't overlap though so that I can hit them all

The Slalom @ Slemon two-day event in PEI will be held on July 31 - August 1. There may be a test & tune on July 30 as well.
For the latest info, keep an eye on the organizing club's web site at: http://mmsc.ca/

I was being optimistic on the T&T day. Last year it was dependant on interest and was WELL worth the extra day. Pretty much just show up and go go go go go until you or your car gets tired. :)

As much as we wanted to host the Western Champs in BC, we just don't have enough space to do the event justice. Preliminary talks have been going on w/ the people in Alberta such that a BC-based club will host the event in either Red Deer (site of 2003 CNAC) or in Edmonton. I personall love the Red deer site as it allows for creative course design and some pretty technical layouts. It's a shorter drive for you guys too.
The plan is for a super weekend w/ a school on Thurs., Practice/dial-in on Frid and sat./Sun competition.
Date is projected to be in late Aug. sometime.

Hi guys,
The CNAC will be held on July 17-18 at Sanair Superspeedway, 30 minutes south of Montreal. This is the place we held the CAEC 2 years ago. Those who came to the CAEC may remember the Sunday course that was really fast and fun (Marsh was in my class)
There will be a CNAC page in English and French on the CADL web site soon, but not available at this time. www.cadl.qc.ca
Sanair Superspeedway is a race track. This place is good for the social part since we can stay there and camp, party, eat and do campfires. It is really remote, no houses nearby except a strange one build the the track owner.
