2004 - Passengers allowed?

From the CNAC regulations:

4.4.K
Passengers are NOT allowed during official runs of CNAC events.

Will this rule be enforced in 2004? Bringing friends and family along for the ride is half the fun! And I'm sure that newbies appreciate being able to ride along with old timers!

The rule will be changed to allow non minor passengers to the best of my knowledge. As it was under CASC rules

afaik.. the pitl series still allows passengers.
for several reasons..

-help out newbies with instruction
-giving instruction
-give future drivers a chance to see what it feels like vs. just watching from the sidelines
-give friends/spouses/gfs/bfs/relatives a chance to see what you've been ranting about around the supper table
-see how other cars handle
-see how other drivers techniques are different
-to reduce the number of Off course runs
-its fun being a passenger


back in the day it was for "getting a competitve edge"
i don't get it..... if its fair for everyone.. why not???

Umm, you do know that if the new CASC-OR rule book doesn't allow passengers, then no club in the region will be allowed to run passengers or they will be in violation of their insurance policy.

Passengers will be allowed.

The CNAC rule book (that I posted to keep people informed of what's coming) is for one off National weekend events, not a club or regional series.

Although, riding with someone else could give you a huge advantage, for some people. But since this is a regional series and the rule book also restricts club events, passengers are allowed. (But no NOS!!!!!)
