instead of paying 2.50/ litre for 103 octane rated race fuel


buy some ultra 94 for .70/ litre and mix some of the following.....methanol locally is only 1.25/litre

The article is absolutely correct. The "sample mixture" is what you need to pay attention to if you are going to actually try this. You need the mineral spirits and transmission fluid or you could have valve, head and other, more minor, problems with your octane booster.

The only question I continue to have is "which type of transmission fluid", because there are a number of different types on the market.
