Hi Everyone.

Many a friends have praises about this place and I've been lurking for a bit, simply because I don't like being a half assed member on any board. AKA 1 post wonder. So apologies for not doing this earlier.

So onwards.. I'm Jeff

I'm a complete virgin to any sort of sanctioned or unsanctioned race and hoping to get into it this year.

I'm curently building a 91/94 miata and hopefully i'll have it on the road as soon as the snow melts.

Welcome to the fold.

Gotta say, i have never seen a more rusted miata ever. You picked a great chassis to play with and enjoy...just look and see how many of those miata's are running around on these pages.

Only advice would be to read the rule books posted here to decide how to prep the car/class the car.

Then come out to your first event, leave your ego at the front gate, ask lots of questions, then come back for more. It's like a drug and there is no 12 step program.

enjoy the ride.

Hi and welcome! Nice project. Great ambition :D You'll have fun what ever type of racing you try this year.

Re Darcy: " Only advice would be to read the rule books posted here to decide how to prep the car/class the car." Good point. Try not to mod your car too much until you settle on autocross or solo-sprint or ??. There all fun but each takes a little bit different mods to be really competitive. Maybe try a few turns at each then build to suit. Have a blast! :D

Thanks for the welcome guys,

I never saw such a rusted miata either. Till it was in my driveway.

Also really good call on the rule books. I briefly started reading prior to buying the 91 Chasis and it lost me.. So i have to commit time and more attention to it.

And as far as ego goes.. consider it checked.
