Well Blandford Mall has changed owners, and although we don't know for sure it appears likely that WOSCA will loose it's lot some time this year. So we are once again searching.
If there is anyone in Western Ontario that knows of a suitable lot that we could investigate please let me know, here or at wosca@hotmail.com
We would consider anything between K/W in the east, to Chatham or Sarnia in the west. Remember that it must be big, empty on Sunday, have no pedestrian traffic and not be close to any residential housing (for noise).
Most importantly we need something we can confirm for a regional date ASAP. Blandford hasn't shut the doors yet, but we can't schedule events very far in advance as new tenants are in negotiation.
BTW the WOSCA winter series is confirmed as scheduled (apperently the mall manager was able to get the new owners to take it as a standing agreement).
What's the address of the mall? I'll write letters to the owner's of Carole's cafe and Liquidation World, both of whom are aware of the amount of business we bring in. Perhaps they could lobby on our behalf.
I'll keep my eyes out for lots.

Why do the new owners want to stop us from using the lot? Are they trying to fill the space left by Wal-Mart?

The new owners haven't said no, but they have at least two proposals on the table for the old Walmart property. If something opens there (that is open on Sundays) then that's the end of the lot. We can't use the lot with a tenant in that space. The mall manager sounds like he will go to bat for us, so it's primarily a question of new tenants.

Aww man this is a PITA. Hopefully you can find a new one not too far from there Marsh. I'll have a look around K/W for you and see if anything would work well. Lulu's out here is closed down but the lots sucks large for rough spots. I'll see what industrial lots look good around here and email some info.
Is anyone using that baseball diamond here in London? :D
Hey, when I was a kid, I used to go to a yearly monster truck thing at the Skydome so it's not as far fetched as it sounds.
What are the chances of getting Delaware again? I only went to one event there but it was a FUN course. And the big car / high HP guys would have nothing to complain about too.

We asked for Deleware last year and they declined (said it wasn't worth their trouble). But we'll see if we can try again.
Derek, thanks for the suggestion, we'll look into it.
