This is a sincere "thank you" to those RSO members who voted to suppport my candidacy for president and vision for change. The membership has spoken and decided in favour of the status quo. I hope you did not feel your vote was wasted.

Peter, I really had hoped you would accept my nominating you for secretary. Even though I feel keeping Ray as president was the right thing to do, I think your input on the board would have been very valuable.

I have run for president twice and secretary once in the past 6 years and each time been rejected by the membership. I believed I'd had enough rejection for one day. Several of my proposals made to the board, including an agenda item for this meeting had also been refused.

While I have willingly served the rally community, for me to continue in the present management style which is so divergent from my own, would be a waste of the membership's, the board's, and my personal time. The RSO community has spoken and I have listened.

Like the cat making love to the skunk: I didn't get all I wanted but I got all I could stand.
