RSO Proxies Committee

At the RSO AGM I was tasked with heading up a committee to review RSO proxy voting.

This committee is to prepare a report and motion for consideration at a Special AGM.

I don’t think we finally nailed down a date for Special AGM but it was suggested be part of an OPRC event as more bodies would hopefully be available.

Ideally.
I would like a minimum of one member from each RSO club.
Other than my self no other elected Board members.
Be people who can communicate via email on a reasonable rapid response basis.
[IE: If you read your email one a week it won’t work]

I will be away from end of this week until April 2nd so please indicate your interest by that time.

We have seven RSO clubs with that in mind a committee of ten is maximum however that seems a little hard to work with. Perhaps a core committee and a secondary club advisory committee will be more efficient

Hi Pete,

I would assume that you would want a representative from BEMC, given that if our membership votes, it tends to be by proxy. I will relay this information to BEMC's BOD this evening at the Spring Awards Dinner, and solicit their feedback on my participation in this for you. I am retiring from BEMC's Board of Directors on April 7th, 2011, but I am still an active member of the club.
