We started a positive trend of cooperation for the CASC-OR Autoslalom school a couple of years ago. It's been well received and, instead of the hosting club getting all the publicity around running the event, we actually approached it from a totally different angle which benefits all CASC-OR clubs that participated.
During the classroom session in the morning, all the instructors from all participating clubs were introduced, and each of the particpating club representatives were able to do a 5 (or less) minute presentation about their respective organization. In addition, each club was encouraged to setup a tent to answer any questions that anyone may have.
From the organizers perspective, it was a success, and the students all left with more information on how they can get involved in motorsports, more importantly, it raised awareness about which clubs are around and what they all represent.
In addition the participants / volunteers to the school were provided with free entry into the SPDA Picton event.
We hope that it was successfull from your perspective as well.
This year, for April 30th May 1 - 2011 we're doing the same thing on behalf of CASC-OR and Toyo Tires. We're looking for your club to represent in the CASC-OR / Toyo Tires Advanced Driving Clinic at the Powerade Center.
What's required:
Club representatives who can speak about their respective clubs
Club representation in the form of Easy Up Booths with marketing paraphanalia
Instructors wearing Club colours if you have them
Volunteers from each club to assist in the running of the event.
Loaner helmets (to be located at your club booth)
Please post here if your club is interested in participating.
Thank You
I'll update this thread often: Please email autoslalom AT spda-online.ca to register as a volunteer.
