Can anyone confirm / deny that the 2004 CNAC rule set will allow for threaded adjustable spring perches (i.e. coil-overs) in the Super Stock class?
Also, if this allowance has been made, how many preparation points will be assigned to threaded adjustable spring perches?
Thanks,

Section 6.5Eiva Super Stock category reads
"Springs must be the same type as original (coil, leaf, torsion bar,
etc.) and use the original attachment points. Ride height may only
be altered by suspension adjustments, the use of spacing blocks,
leaf spring shackles, torsion bar levers, adjustable coil spring
perches, or modification of springs. This does not allow the use of
spacers which alter suspension geometry, such as those between
the hub carrier and lower suspension arm."
Then, under preparation points section 6.8D2
"Any other suspension modification(s). 3 pts."
I hope this helps!

Are you referring to the Confederation of Autosport Car Clubs (CACC) rule set? I'm interested in the Canadian National Autoslalom Championship (CNAC) rules. There are no sections 6.5 and 6.8 under CNAC: http://www.cnacsolo.ca/cnac2003rules.pdf
However, I’ve heard rumors that threaded adjustable spring perches (i.e. coil-overs) will be permitted in the Super Stock class under the new 2004 CNAC rules. I’m just wondering if this rule change proposal has been approved, and how many preparation points will be assigned to threaded adjustable spring perches...
Thanks,
Logan

I'm pretty sure threaded perches will be allowed under the CNAC rules for 2004. They will be in the CASC-OR version.
I understand they were supposed to be legal in SS for the 2003 rules, but somebody goofed somewhere...

Ah... you guys have your own rule set.
Sorry, guess I’m posing the question to the wrong audience.

Ok, great! 3 points in super stock. Add that to my current 4 points...
Guess I had better change my signature to "E/SP" then. ;)
Thanks guys,

is the 2004 rule set available for public viewing yet??? even if it's still in a "waiting to be approved" state?

Jason, all the club reps have a 2nd draft copy to review and comment on.
The next draft copy will be made available to the competitors.

whops... I should have been clearer in my question my fault... I knew that about the CASC-OR regional solo 2 rules.. but my question was for the NAtional rule set... CNAC 2004 rules my understanding is the rules won't be the EXACT same so I was wondering if the National level rules were out yet or not?
