that thing looks like a beast to control
i was working the stop box and derek came around that last left hand corner and almost lost it - the look on his face told me to run

Looks like I missed a great event :(
Nice pictures. Great to see another Protege5 come out. Was that Alex's brother or some other person?
Good to see Jacob's car back in action!
I will NOT miss the next event!

Thanks for the photos. Pretty interesting course and a fantastic battle for FTD. Looking forward to more of the same the rest of this season!

Yeah sorry on the course. By the time I got to walk it full through (rather than a gate at a time) you were all in the drivers meeting, too late to change.
Still I make no apologies for confusion, just the location of a couple gates.
Visibility was ass, but part of the sport is memorizing the course too. Certainly not what was intended. Still once people found the right line, it was much less a struggle to get around.
Anyhow figured tightening up the course would narrow the gap a bit. But can't say I have any intention on putting together another Tong course like that again. In fact, I'd like to set a goal for the June 18th one to use less than 40 cones (not including the stop box of course). :p

I didn't mind the course at all. I'm always surprised at how many different configurations you guys can get given that the slalom needs to be where it is.
I'm still trying to figure out why I made the same mistake twice in a row on my two fastest runs to come up 2/10ths short!

I had a great time! It was good to be back on pace, and if you look down the list a little, I was in a group of four drivers within a 1/10 second of each other. The course had a good feel to it, I just needed to have my coffee before walking it in the morning so I had a hope of staying on course.

Well I wouldn't have changed the whole thing. :)
Just the two really tight spots.
The one at the top had to happen where it did because by the time we got up there (having laid out the previous 1/3rd of the course) we realized you'd be cornering into/over a grate.. so we put it back out the way you came in.. Again another truck was in the way so we had to come up away from it and down away from it.
Then with the 1st gear portion in the 2nd half, there was that huge puddle so I figured we'd do a bunch of 1st gear stuff.. but that one pair of gates were too close (and high) and then the couple gates after it were a little too open so it meant some people were back into second and then back into first.
I just would have liked to have moved 3 or 4 cones.. that's all (and improve the heads-up visual).
I'd even like to mess with the slalom actually I just dunno if Darryl will let me. :)

Great layout!
Had a tough time in the tight s without pwr steering, line was super critical other wise I was still tryinf to get straight & then it was almost too late for the next turn. Heard some guys saying they lost assist on the quick transition.
The coarses have been really good, keep it up Taylor!!

That was a newb friend of mine. He had a great time, but now he thinks he needs some upgrades (i suggested he upgrade the driver first ;)
