FYI, my Kumhos came in from Tire Rack (275/40/17) at $1178.00 after taxes, duty and shipping. They came in 5 days after order.

The best price I could find in Canada was $1280.00 before taxes, and no shipping.

Cheap Thrills wholesales from Tire Rack and takes care of duty and shipping for you. In my experience it's been cheaper than ordering directly from Tire Rack. Did you try them?

Never heard of them. Number? Web site?

They're only open Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat. They answer the phone with they're business number and it's cash and carry only. The shop is a bunch of old buildings that wouldn't pass fire code as dog houses, and they're all packed to the rafters with tires.

Any idea if the tires from Cheap Thrills are fresh? I'd hate to buy discount price R compound tires that are more than a year old.

They don't stock R-compounds. Mine litterally went from the truck to my trunk. I suspect most of their stock is used tires. As they day of the truck arriving was a big event and there were a lot of other people there.

FYI Tire Rack will drop ship to a large number of installers in the US. You can drive over and save the taxes and duty unless you think Customs will examine the tires on your car.
