I'm looking for a set of Kosei K1s, 15x7, 5x114.3, offset in the high 30s to low 40s, and ideally silver. I made a deal on a mint set with 80% Kumho 712s for $500 US shipped, but it fell through. Now I'm set on getting some...
Would also consider the same wheel in a 16", or possibly other nice light weight wheels. I'd consider buying new too if anyone knows where I can get a good deal...

I just picked up my new kosei's today from the "wheel and tire zone"guys.I heard mention of a rumour that the K1's might be discontinued-that would suck.
Give Andrew/Pete a call-they are series sponsers so it would be good to support them for supporting us.

Your lucky that your bolt pattern isn't the same as Hanif's-otherwise you'd be shit outta luck finding a used set before him!!:D

The kosei's were $900 for the set, couldn't find much to compare with in 15x7 that are fairly light and not a stupid amount of money.Enkei has a super nice 15x7 that weighs 9.8lbs-if you hace $400 a wheel, rota slipstreams are now made in a 15x7 and I received a price of just under $800 from a company in alberta, the rota's are umm kinda ugly however.(apparently not as durable as the kosei's)
All the other commonly available/affordable/relatively light wheels are 15x6.5's.

I think i'm going to get me a set of the Kosei K1 TS 10.6 lbs wheels from TireRack this year.

They are listed at 149 USD.

Should workout to around $850-900 after the conversion and having a set of tires mounted up to drive em back :D

I need a set of street tires this year anyway.

What about the TeamDynamics ProRace1 .. that comes in 15x7 and are about as light as the Kosei K1's.

$900 for a set of K1's? I was never given a price that good last year. Not that Tirerack will admit they have the correct fitment for my car in the first place.

The K1-TS came out last year to replace the K1. The problem with Koesi is that their representation in the USA is mostly limited to what TireRack decides to import. They have no official representation that I have been able to find.

I've been eyeing those as well... Though they seem to be far less common used, particularly in 5x114.3.
I'm going to keep looking for used wheels before I resort to new. Anyone heard anything good/bad about ATS Comp Lites? They seem to be available in 15x7, about 13lb, and ~$110 US / each.

Lots of shops keep TD-PR1 in stock for Spec Miata racers. They should actually be easier to find than Koseis..

The ATS CompLights look like a really good deal. Haven't heard anything good or bad about them .. they do supply wheels to german touring car series, and make lots of OEM wheels for european cars. If the CompLights were higher than +35 offset, I probably would have bought those last year.

Well, just picked up a set of Comp Lites on ebay for pretty cheap. Should be between $400 and $450 Canadian when its all said and done. Still on the lookout for K1s though, maybe even in a 16x7.5...
