The Peterborough Motorsports Club would like to welcome CASC-OR Regional to the greater Peterborough area for Event #5, hosted on the Oval @ Kawartha Downs

Event Schedule:

Registration opens @ 8:00
Driver meeting @ 9:30
Cars on course @ 10

There will be no lunch break, but we are trying to secure a Caterer/Sausage Vendor to supply food for the day, there is also a Coffee Time not far from the venue

Marshaling:

Competitors are required to marshal after EACH run. We would appreciate it if you could report to the chief marshal immediately after your run in order to keep the event running smoothly. The sooner you get to your marshaling station, the more time you will have before your next run.

Event Fees:

PMSC Members - $20
Non-PMSC Members - $30

Keep your eye on this thread...I'll post the course map here a few days before the event.

Travis drives a Subaru too, I predict Sunny Dry weather all day on Sunday. Besides, it's on an oval, have you ever been on an oval when it's wet? (I have)

Any Autoslalom day has perfect weather in a Subaru, however my new hoosiers prefer heat to wet and cold.

Sucks that my Hoosiers are the same size as a certain Miata...

Not sure if it is anything like WOSCA's oval venue, but ovals are deceptively slippery when wet!

Ding ding ding!!! Yeah, there's a nice thick layer of rubber at "the grove" in most ovals. Nice and sticky in the dry but like ice when wet. Kawartha downs has it's own uniqueness, the horse track that surrounds the car track always seem to throw tons of dust on the track, makes it kinds of slippery for the first few runs. Fun though..

Well...the subi rain dance didn't work. But it may have been better... Anyone else have heatstroke?? I'm toast. Still a fun day though.

It was crazy hot today.. OMG.. 36 degrees not to mention the humidex. Sun stroke is an understatement, I had a doozy of a headache since the morning.. I remember doing the course approval walk at 9:00 ish and it was already hot, then a gentle reminder from Eric saying noon was yet 3 hours away.

It was HOT!!!! Yes, sun stroke, heat stroke, UGH.

I'm still pounding back the water trying to rehydrate! Unbelievable, but I guess it doesn't help being in a bowl.

I was a fun course although there were a couple of pesky cones that kept getting in the way.

Congrats on the double Paul, FTD and PAX. Awesome last run to put it away!

Despite the last second surprise of the $5 increase in entry fees, it was a good event. I really enjoyed the course...even if I did eat more cones per run than anyone else.

Good job guys...now give me my $5 back!
