Can anyone take the school?? I don't plan on entering any solo1 events just SoloII at the moment but any education I can get is a plus!

I did the Solo 1 School in 2000. I took advantage of the one free event that was included and ran an event at the same track that the school was on later the same year.
I enjoyed myself so much that I did more than enough events in 2001 to put together a full season.

You are more than welcome to take the first school at the DDT and I would highly recomend it. The second school may well be limited to registered Solo 1 drivers at least until a certain date. Considering that there were 140 different Solo 1 drivers last year and that most will want to run this event I would highly suggest that to assure your best chance of getting in you should register first for a Solo 1 event. The final details for this are still in the planning stages.

Is there any more info on this yet? I looked at the solo 1 site, but it seemed to be last year's info. I can't really afford the solo1 school but, if I plan enough in advance, maybe I can mug enough people to raise the money :-)

Drop me a line with specific questions.
I'll be helping organize the school this year.
May 8/9 plus one other event anytime in the season.
You need a helmet and a safe car (plenty of brake pads, no loose objects, tires that won't explode).
The school application form should be on the site - if it isn't, can someone post it!
For your free event, let me know (I also do registration along with Jason Altimari) when you want to run, and we'll get you registered.
You can sign up for the schools and events at the Open House (Mar 28/CSC Racing in Newmarket). I suggest you send in your school application by mail or fax as soon as possible. Registrations are starting to come in, and they have sold out at the Open House in the past.

Unfortunately the link in the immediately above post is for the 2003 school but the info for the first school (as quoted) still stands, dates May 8-9

I've sent Taylor a new pdf of the school registration form, hopefully he can get it up on the site soon and people can download it and send it in.
