The last event of the Ontario Region Autoslalom Tour is this Sunday at the Barrie Molson Centre! The season is not over yet as there are a few class winners to decide, as well as the runner-ups to the overall winner, Paul K.

- STU is still up for grabs with Travis T and Greg C in a close race for first, only 0.8 points separating them.
- BSS is another class to watch next weekend, Daniel F has won the three events he has attended, Andrew R currently has 397.66 points. A class win would almost certainly wrap up the class, but it will be close.
- DS could be another close battle, Alex F has the lead with 397.02 points, but if Robin E (who won the first three events) puts up at least 97.02 points he will be crowned the class victor.

Event Schedule:

Registration opens at 8:15 and closes at 9:15
Driver meeting at 9:30
Cars on course ASAP

As usual, there will be no lunch break. There are two Tim Horton's near by, a Little Ceasar's, a Mac's Convenience store as well as others. Feel free to bring a lunch with you...even a small portable BBQ/hibachi is a good idea.

Classing:

This year, TLMC has moved to using the CASC-OR classing. The rulebook and bulletins can be found here: http://www.casc.on.ca/autoslalom_rules

If you need help classing your car, post here, or send me an e-mail.

Marshaling:

Competitors are required to marshal after EACH run. We would appreciate it if you could report to the chief marshal immediately after your run in order to keep the event running smoothly. The sooner you get to your marshaling station, the more time you will have to relax before your next run.

Event Fees:

TLMC Members - $20
Non-TLMC Members - $30

As a perk for being a TLMC member, course maps will be e-mailed before the event.

Also, please help us SUPPORT THE ELIZABETH FRY GROCERY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (G.A.P.) (http://www.elizabethfrysociety.com/groceryassistanceprogram.html)

This year we are stepping up our community support. We've decided to help "fill the G.A.P." by collecting non-perishable food items at all of our events. PLEASE help out by bringing what you can. Below are a couple of news articles from the Examiner. The first highlights why we chose the Elizabeth Fry G.A.P. over the Barrie Food Bank, and the second shows how quickly things can turn around with a little help.

See you Sunday!

I am relaxing this week, making sure I am ready for the class win this Sunday.

Arris always puts together a fantastic course, and I have some advance notice that it will be a horsepower and handling course, so bring on your miatas and high hp monsters, ahem, Mike.

Tons of stuff to hand out, tons of fun to be had.

Please bring a food item, and show how the auto slalom community gives back.

Oh, and bring your A game, it's going to be a good one.

Have fun playing in the rain, actually since I figured I'd stay home(my cars a handful on cold tires, not really interested to find out how bad it is on cold wet tires) for sure it won't rain.

Thanks for staying home:D

A couple of drops were felt, but that was the extent of it.

Thanks to all the TLMC volunteers to make this event happen. Course was amazing!! Just wish I didn't hit so many cones:mad:

Great event, outstanding and challenging layout with the most difficult (ie slow) start box I have ever seen. Next season is too far away.

Try looking at the radar maps on theweathernetwork.com before you leave in the morning to give you an idea if its going to rain throughout the day.

Im surprised i was able to get out of the start box...

When the weather network says thunderstorms in the morning and the afternoon I trust them to read the radar better than I.;)
Oh well,I saved my tires for the last 3 events.......

Fantastic event, one of the best layouts I have ever driven. It's a shame I didn't have time to participate in the full series.

Hey TLMC:
Thanks for a great day today.
That was a fantastic course layout that allowed me to find the limits of my new car a few too many times!
It was a good learning experience for me and I can't wait for next season.

It was dry, but i still drove the course sideways in the AP1...gotta get used to RWD again after a 20 year hiatus.

Great fun day...only 9 months till next season!
