I've driven it backwards and it is interesting. And the guardrail is disappearing. So, maybe? I don't think the run-off areas are as much of an issue as the guardrail. Look where they run Stage Rallies!
BEMC also ran a hillclimb about 10 years ago from between 5A - 5B up to the Start/Finish line but it's no where near as interesting as going the other way. We even had one of our members enter on a 250cc Enduro bike.
