I will be posting excerpts from Rick Potter's 5400 mile odyssey here. I will be getting them straight from the competitors, no holds barred... hopefully Solo-1 will find it interesting?

For those of you who were there on Saturday at the S1 school when the apex seal went in his rotary engine, he has the car running again with a new rotor and housing (new motor, in other words) and also found a cracked exhaust manifold which would surely have caught him unawares in the One Lap. What caused the problem was a MAP sensor that was reporting 15 PSI of boost when in fact there was 17 PSI of boost going through the engine... bad news for motors as "touchy" as a Wankel rotary.

Rick is from Kingston, FYI, and a former Solo-1 ASP Champion. Last year he was #1 in class and 8th overall. His email is rpotter@kos.net if you want to give him a quick vote of support.
