I have just viewed the points standings for Class 1...

I don't understand why DNF's r being allowed as throwaways!

So I finish two races and work my butt off to gain points (albeit the 2 lowest points races for me)
and must throw them away
while somebody else stuffs it in the bank a couple of times (or does not enter a couple of times) getting no points
and gets rewarded for that by not losing ANY POINTS from their total!!!!
I don't get that...aaaaaarrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!! >:(

Please explain the logic behind this as I am sure there is some twisted reason

You are not losing points, and they are not being rewarded. You are scored on 20 races for a complete season. You, by practising and having good luck days, winning wars of attrition etc.- have better "odds" of having higher placings to choose from. You also have the option of not showing up for a weekend if you like.
The only way to change this is to insist that we score every race, every weekend. The explanation of why we do not is because we are not horribly competitive (ie we don't make any money) and March Break/Spring Break affect peoples family life and they can not make it to all the races (suckers!).
Bring it up on Sunday, let the people vote.

i am also forgetting that there are 4 throw away races with a full season and larger thowaway points at stake then. Will have to watch the standings and possibly not enter to reduce take away points

If you finish better than your previous low points races you will have more total points at the end of the season. You may be throwing out 70 points, but you may be achieving 100 on the last weekend. If you finish worse, than they will not be counted as they are your new throwaways.
It can't possibly harm you to run the rest of the season. You are either throwing away DNS or your lowest points but you still have to score 20 races.
YOUR TOTAL CAN NOT GO LOWER THAN IT ALREADY IS! It took me a month to wrap my own head around it, but fill in high or low points on the last 4 races and it is mathematically impossible to go down on your final score.

YOUR TOTAL CAN NOT GO LOWER THAN IT ALREADY IS!
... I will repeat this as my mantra as I continue to race.

Thankyou, will try not to strain what few brain cells r left after so many Cliffe experiences:)

Honest, I bitched for a month until the light bulb finally dully flickered over my head.

I believe that points for overall are running points with no throwaways?,if so than you'd want to run every race.
