After I run the Mullet Camaro in the Grassroots challange, I am taking the turbo off to make a more rules friendly motor.
I have a question requarding heads.
Since I have a huge dish on the blower pistons, can I run a equivilant head to stock but with a smaller chamber to bring the compression back up to stock? With the stock 76cc head chambers I end up with 7.58:1. With a smaller 64 or 58 cc chamber head I can get it back up to the factory 8.2:1.
Obviously the casting number won't be correct, but I have head flow data showing that all the stock small block castings flow the same as or worse than the factory heads.
I would like to do this to same some time and reuse the fresh turbo motor minus the turbo since I won't have enough time to get the "good motor" done before the school. Plus it saves some money too...
