Guys over on the SCCA forums seem to like the tire so far and say it's really excellent for AX due to the even softer [than V700] compound. It's more expensive the the V700, obviously, and lighter... looks like Kumho is really putting effort in to get competitive with Hoosier.

NOT recomended for Solo 1 or lapping. They will be gone like butter.
Great Solo 2 tire.

I don't agree Doug. According to Kumho the new V710 will perform for only a limited # of heat cycles especially compared to the Victoracer or even Ecsta. Hoosiers have the same problem. ( I assume is has something to do with the aromatics in the compounds) Either way the tires may be quite good for race or lapping, not with the longevity of a Victoracer but at least they will wear out before they get hard. They will not likely work great in Solo 1 where you can run up to 14 heat cycles per wkend and from what I have heard the Kumho and new Hoosier RS04 will only work for about 16 heat cycles. Can't really afford a new set each wkend and I have had a really bad experience running Hoosiers with lots of tread that had obviously been heat cycled a few too many times.
Will Solo 2 actually get the tread hot enough to cycle? If not they may last even if they don't perform as well as they would if heated. I believe the lower temp range of the Hoosier A (autox) series tires is for this purpose.
