Scene 1--
Greg: Well, I spend a lot of time doing autocrossing.
She #1: Oh is that where the cars jump? It's on dirt, right?


Scene 2--
Greg: I like to autocross in the summer.
She #2: Oh is that like duck crossing, but with cars?

I think the first one would be rallycross wouldn't it? like they do ain England and around there.

Actually yes, that is what Autocross is. That's why we call it Autoslalom on Canada. The Americans call it autocross.

This reminds me... At the Toronto auto show I was standing around next to the Drift Nation booth waiting for a friend to get out of the john. They had a video running of one of their pro drivers smoking up some rubber. Well, this girl comes up with her loser boyfriend (wearing a baseball cap sideways, you know the type), points to the video, and says to him "see? This is that autocross thing I was telling you about!"
