The A048 is now available in the USA .. which means it has DOT approval. Although it is only available in limited sizes ...

Does that mean that we could import other sizes of the A048 from Japan and use those? Or does every tire used in Solo require a DOT number specifically for that size of tire?

It requires a DOT number stamped to the sidewall or it would be considered a slick

You can get them from Talon Tire out of Quebec. Been able to for some time. Give them a call and see if they have what you need, including if your size is DOT.

The only sizes available through Yokohama in the USA at the moment seem to be 18" ...
