WOSCA Winter Series Results

Well I can't seem to update the website so I'll post it here.

Congratulations to Wes Tanney for the win in event #4 of the WOSCA Winter Slalom Series, and to Mike Aversa for FTD at the same event.

Also a major congratulations to Wes for the Series win as well (little bastard, I could have had it if I took my intake off)!

Thanks, but that's funny..... My clutch was slipping so bad, I almost packed up and called it a day after the first run. Using 10 year old shitty Canadian Tire winter tires that have seen better days was fun (and noisy). Rev limiters rule!

Jay, I realized when you posted that your class was wrong. It's fixed in the excel file. It doesn't affect your position in the event, but you should be 16th overall for the series.

My friend was there taking pictures, but when he got home he found out there was a big thumb print on the inside of his filter and all the pictures were pretty much ruined.

FSS is correct. Although now that I see the scoring I wish I'd taken out the strut braces and run in HS. Even my buddy with the other Colt beat me on PAX and it was his very first event, ever!

That was a really close event though! Dead last was still good enough for 87 points. Yikes.

I took all of two pictures and a video (http://www.mirageforums.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7488) - it was too windy to use the dang camera without a big, meaty tripod. My 16MB memory stick running out didn't help.

Yea cold weather is the great tire equalizer. Makes it much more interesting IMO.

OOOPS! It turns out Wes was miss-classed. Jeremy Schmidt gets the event, and Tony K repeats as sereis champion.

Thats a turn of events, I never even noticed what class he was marked down as,,,,,I just cursed the damn PAX, thats 2 events in a row where beating someone by over 2 seconds nets you nothing.....Wes still drove the wheels off that thing.

I would have signed up Sunday, but it would have meant forced marshalling in the beastly cold...but I volunteered to marshal anyway! D'oh!

Good club indeed, and beating the PAX is a challenge I'm up for. Using the brain, what a concept.
