Seat belts

I currently have a '93 Ford Escort equipped with passive seat belts where the shoulder belt automatically goes over your shoulder with a seperate lap belt. Is this system okay for the rubber to ice class as is? Anyone ever raced with these belts?

I would say that 90% of the competitors in the rubber classes use the factory belts, as long as they are in good shape and the inertia switches work fine they are legal.

However, I don't think I have seen the automatic door type yet as in your case, but if they are in good working order I don't see a problem.
