Just thought I'd drop a line and thank the many people that contributed to an unforgettable weekend at Shannonville.
To echo Perry's comments at the Sunday results meeting, I'm very proud to be associated with such a stand-up group of people. Our sport can be dangerous at times, but it also goes to show how safe it can be, if safety, preparation and respect for rules are followed.
Other than a sore ego, I am fine. Car is not so good, but it is only metal and will likely be fixed. Rollbar will be replaced along with the helmet before I participate in another event. A new lower fixed bucket will also be installed. Insurance will repair the vehicle without many questions (surprisingly).
Most people will think I'm crazy but I still had a great time this weekend and am looking forward to getting back in the seat, although it definitely won't be for Cayuga's event.
With the caliber of people currently involved in Solo 1 and 2, we can do nothing but enhance the professional image of amateur racing in Ontario.
Thanks for everyone's support and goodwill,
