I would like to thank a few people for their contribution to the Solo 2 School on Saturday, May 1st at Ontario Place.
First I would like to thank Taylor Barratt and Both Feet In Performance Driving, for being the event sponsor and suppling all of the students with the Both Feet In Performance Driving CD's.
I would also like to thank Andrew at Wheel & Tire Zone for suppling all the $100 coupons for the purchase of Yokohama AO32R tires. Also a thanks to Bill at Williams Performance Friction for suppling a couple of sets of brake pads and CG-Lock for suppling a coupon for a free CG-Lock seatbelt locking device.
I would mostly like to thank all of the instructors who came out and helped with the instruction. These people came out with no compensation to help educate the future of our community. Good job and thank you. Also Keith and Jason who came out and marshalled!
And last but not least, the Solo 2 Committee, Steve, Tony, Joe, Yvan, Pete and Sonia for helping organize the event. I couldn't have done it without your help.

I'd like to thank all the great instructors that came to help all us newbies.
Wes: about those $100 coupons, mines says "This coupon is towards the purchase of 4 tires excluding A032R series"
What's up with that?

I'm another newb who wants to say thanks as well. I was one of the guys w/ a Matrix. Had a great time. Learned a lot. Noteable thanks to Patrick, Chris and Guillermo who offered great feedback and criticism. Hope to apply it soon in future autox events.
I took out my videocam way too late and missed some great runs by the instructors. Nonetheless, here's a few vids I was able to take...

I'd like to give a big thanks to all of the intstructors on Saturday, everyone of you who sat in the car with me gave me some valuable advice, which I was able to parlay into a DS class win on Sunday, in only my 3rd ever AutoX!

Wes: about those $100 coupons, mines says "This coupon is towards the purchase of 4 tires excluding A032R series"
Well, it appears that I have made my first (and I'm sure not my last) big bonehead move this year......
To start this explaination I will say that this is MY fault and has nothing to do with Wheel and Tire Zone....MY FAULT.
Indeed these coupons are for any Yokohama tire EXCEPT the AO32R that I did indeed say that you could use them for. I apologize.
Now that being said, Andrew at W&TZ has said that he will offer the $100 discount on Khumo R Compounds as well as any Yokohama tire except the AO32R. So a BIG THANKS to Andrew and Wheel & Tire Zone for bailing me out of a dumb no brainer move on my part.
Make sure that when you redeem your coupon that you recieved it at the Solo 2 School and make sure you thank Andrew for his generous contribution.
Sorry for the confusion.

Hey, no worries - that's actually good news. I don't need a set of A032Rs, but I do need a new set of street tires to replace the Pirellis I smoked in autocross last year. Now, if Goodyear can only get some actual 15" F1s into North America, I'll be laughing!
