Just a couple of reminders to all the solo 2 regional competitors.
1. You must sign your form for each event entered. this means fill out your class the date and your signature.
2. You must be a member of a CASC club to score in the regional series.
3. You must indicate to me if you are novice or not (some competitors did not check off the box)
4. At the next regional I will verify your drivers license and your club membership. Please have both ready. If I miss you in Picton I will get you in Woodstock.
5. Pre registration for the next event will only be for series registered drivers.
thanks

No one is automaticaly signed up for picton.
You have to do that through the solo 2 main page and pre register for it.
Be aware, that if you pre register and you do not show up there is an additional cost of $5. THAT will be collected at the next event you enter.
8 guys already owe the $5 bucks
You ask why $5? Well its because I need drinking money....you guys been driving me to drink......no...lol .....
seriously its a penalty you pay for having me get your forms ready and not showing up, the money goes back into our funding.......but if anyone wants to buy me a beer thats okay too. (just not in place of the penalty):D

I'll have my $5 ready for you in Picton. I needed to work on the car to get it finished more than running the event.
Are there any hotels near Picton??

Lots of places to stay, it's rather touristy.

Thanks Tod, actually the whole committee is doing a great job.
The web site and registrations is pretty cool.
Joe Pete and Steven are all participating and can't say enough about the effort that WES puts in.

There are some cheap and some good.
3 of us from London stayed here last year: http://www.pec.on.ca/sportsman/index.html
It was cheapy, cheap, cheap! 3 beds for less than $80 if memory serves.

Apparently some clarification needs to be made as far as eligibility of novice status. Please review and update your stats accordingly;
B. Novice Eligibility
To be considered a novice, a competitor must not have competed in more than three (3) solo, road race, ice race or equivalent status events, OR ever held any motorsport competition license from any jurisdiction, prior to the start of the current year championship.
Now the statemement; prior to the start of the current year championship..... means before Sunday May 1'st regioanl event.

Was it fairly close to the event? It looks decent - it wasn't horrible, was it? As I've mentioned previously, I'm very much not a morning person, esp when I have to drag 2 kids along with me, so there's NO WAY I could make it to Picton if I left directly from here :)

It was relatively clean, sufficient soap and shampoo. It was on the west end of town on the north side of the bay. Maybe 7 minutes from the air base?

It's been pointed out that there are two contridicting statements in the rule book. Section 4.1.E states;
E. Novice
A Novice is someone who has competed in three (3) or less Solo II events prior to January 1st of the current competition year. See also Section 5.3.A.
And Section 5.3.B states;
B. Novice Eligibility
To be considered a novice, a competitor must not have competed in more than three (3) solo, road race, ice race or equivalent status events, OR ever held any motorsport competition license from any jurisdiction, prior to the start of the current year championship.
So, for the next bulliten, Section 5.3.B will state;
B. Novice Eligibility
To be considered a novice, a competitor must not have competed in more than three (3) solo, road race, ice race or equivalent status events, OR ever held any motorsport competition license from any jurisdiction, prior to the start of the current calander year.
For next year that will change to say the beginning of the championship.

See I told you that's what the rule used to say!

Heehee - sufficient shampoo depends upon how much hair one has, I suppose :)
That sounds great! We'll probably book a room soon so we're committed! Then we'll pray for a lack of freezing cold rain (does gawd hate any motorsports clubs other than HADA??)

I think the rain was my fault.
Every car thing I've done in 2004 has involved some form of precipitation.
And no, you can't make me stay away from Picton.
