Williams is awesome,
They custom made front solo II pads for my Honda Insight.
Now I need to wear out my OEM pads some more before I switch.
75,000 km, 4 lapping days and a dozen auto-x races and my 4 year old pads are still at 70 % thanks to regenerative braking technology.....
Fantastic group of guys, so what if he's folically challenged. Rolling stone gathers no moss, or is that a girl in every port, or a port in every girl.. Nevermind.
Great Brake Pads! :D

Great pads indeed! They've performed beyond my expectations in everything so far. 3 of us decided to risk it at Cayuga with Solo-2 pads and they did OK. They dusted out, but you could still get several laps out of them before fade was an issue. In my case fluid was an issue long before the pads were (stupid rusted bleed screw  ).

Great news, I can say with complete confidence that my new pads won't let me down.
Now the rest of the car that's another story.

I'm with the masses, Williams pads are the shizzy!
You can't beat the street/autox performance for the price. I haven't hit an end cone since installing my WPFS2s! *knock wood*

I asked Williams for pad advise for the WOSCA lapping day. I have been using the S2 pad for a year, up to now Solo 2 and street only.
They advised that my S2 pads would likely begin to fade after 5-6 laps, requiring a cool of of 30 minutes. The other consideration was that they advised these pads would likely be used up in a day requiring new pads.
I thought about swapping to the F1.05 pad to allow limited street use (changing at home) but decided to start the WOSCA lapping day at TMP with the S2 pads swapping to my old stock pads to get home.
I was very happy with what I found at the track. The pads worked well althought they did start fading after 5 laps as advised. Not bad for a 3,600 lb car. I found that I could stay on the track and back off slightly (98%, a couple of seconds on a 85-90 second course) to contine lapping with no issues.
I kept an eye on the pads expecting them to be gone in the day. I estimate I still have 1/2 my pads left, great! Lots of brake dust, everything is black.
If I were to put the effort into changing pads at the track I would swap to a full race pad to be able to stay out longer at 100% otherwise the S2 pad was great.:D

Of course, when you come into the stop box that slow, you could probably use plywood for pads and not worry about the end cone.

Yeah, and what's he gonna do about all the other cones he's getting throughout the course? :p

Ouch thats harsh
It could also be the fact that the new CNAC rules call for a 21m stop box.
Thou their brakes work quite well.

Keith, if your shoes are the same as the civic, I have a spare set that I probably won't need anymore as I have only one car with drums at this point (instead of three)

Keith I sold Satisified Brakes a formula and it's got lot's of brass in it which is good for fade and this formula is a 4.0 which is a high friction rate for rear shoes. You can find this at Canadian Tire under the Monroe brand or the Certified brand.Look at the shoe material and if you see lots of Brass Chips, that's the one you want. Hope this helps. William

I was at the solo2 event today at Square1 and what an amazing turnout.Even the Peel Region boys got in on the action with their lights flashing going through the cones.
I want to thank Finboy for bringing to my attention the event.I will be in discussion about sponsorship for these events in the future.
Thanks again to all the Solo community support and keep the product and service feedback comming.See you at the Airfield next weekend.

William:
Not sure if they handed out the trophy officially , although it was on display in the timing area all day.
I didnt catch all of the awards ceremonies at the end.
Dont know if they are going to have Stephen Tongs name put on it first,
(he won overall), but Darryl D. or Dave Taira would be the guys to follow up with.

I just wanted to give you guys a little insite on sponsorship.
Williams is currently sponsoring and supplying these clubs.C.A.S.C,Solo1 direct,Solo2 direct,M.C.O,PITL series,PureSportGT,SPDA,SCO,A.R.M.S,and we are supplying the FAQ through one of our distributors in Montreal. We are currently in talks with Calgary and Vancouver and this should be rapped up by September.
If all goes well we will be available at 2000 locations across Canada by this Christmas.Canadas largest Speed Products retailer has signed on with Williams and dropped Hawk Friction. They have 180 stores across Canada.Once our stocking order is complete and I have done tech sessions with all 180 store Managers we will announce who the retailer is.We don't want orders until they are ready to service you well.
Canada's largest retailer is taking on our brand with 1300 stores across Canada. This should be complete and fully stocked by Dec/04.
To finish off we are working with the two oldest chains of Canadian SpeedShops to carry our product. We hope to have our product announcement ready for spring of next year to catch next years summer market.
All of these stores will be retail only and will carry the S2 product only.
All of this success has come from you guy's, the racers who use our products.
As promised Williams will have a massive commitment to the Racing community next year.We will be sponsoring all Provinces in their Motorsport venues.
I want to take this time to make a special thanks to the Ontario Solo1 and Solo2 communities for their support and feedback on service and product. Thanks Again guys
