I have the Victoracers and love them. I've heard (although no experience first hand) that the Ecstas tend to chunk as they wear.

I think that problem with the ECSTAs was only with the earlier K8A compound. I've got K6A ECSTAs in 13" and 15" and have had no problems with chunking. The 13" were about 30% used when I bought them, too.

Realistically, it's probably a wash between the two.

In my opinion the Victo's have larger tread blocks which = greater contact patch.
Obviosly I must recomend our sponser WHEEL & TIRE ZONE

Ecstas don't like heavy cars. Everyone I know with cars in the 2000lb area loves them and all the guys in the 2700+ hate them. The Ecsta has a softer side wall than the Victoracer and needs even MORE negative camber.

how about the toyo ra1 compare to victorracer?

For FWD or RWD cars under 2500 Lbs... Here's the order of adhesion for Solo II applications.

Dry:
Hoosiers
Hankook Z211
Kumho V700
Kumho Ectsa
Toyo RA-1

Cold & Wet:
Toyo RA-1
Yokes (as per Ivan)
Kumho Ectsa
Kumho V700
Hankook Z211
Hoosier

For AWD Cars... The difference is minimal... Really negligable.

You need to add Yokes to that cold & wet list.

In dry conditions, start at 40 all the way around and leave them at that until your runs are consistant, then start adjusting, 2 pounds at a time.

Joe ;

After seeing Wes set FTD in the cold and wet on Z211's you might want to move them up with the Toyo's and Yokes.

I tend to agree with your findings from my own experience. I havent had a chance to test out the Z211's yet. What information are you basing their dry performance ranking on?

Tony
