the layout has been changed everytime we've been at square one.

I started out thinking the right lane was the fastest because you could be more aggressive getting across the beam (and in the later rounds of the eliminations it seemed this was an advantage, although I don't have any empirical evidence).
As I got more practice, though, I found I was enjoying driving the left lane a lot more. It seemed I could get the car rotating more and it felt easier to drive.
Summing up, the right lane was probably faster for me, but the left lane was more fun.

Left for me I perfered it only after doing qualifying ... for walking the course I was thinking right lane since the left was tighter looking with more off camber curves... but those did help in rotating the car...:p

Right lane for sure.
Much tigher, beam was RIGHT after the last corner (unlike the left lane, beam was SO far after the corner, you had to slow down, then accelerate to beat the other guy).
Although, I found I needed 2nd gear in the left lane, but not on the right. For that reason the left lane felt faster, but I don't think it was.

Right lane was quicker, left lane more fun. The left lane was a little tight coming into the stop box.....but much more flowing up to that point.

Unless you decided to stop before the beam, as at least one un-named competitor elected to do. :D

I thought the right felt faster personally. Unless you are running a super 7, and screw the launch. <G>

Do the math Dave
I ran Tony hard and felt I made no mistakes.
I beat him on the right track only.
Really close though.
