The TFBM club recently got this message for a new show on Global.
This is to let you and your F-Body club-members know about a casting call for a new TV series. Here are the details....
SHOP SHOWDOWN
Two teams, two cars, two days...who can build the best beast?!
Shop Showdown is a new TV program for Global Television. The show takes two teams of mechanics, provides them with a fully equipped autoshop and gives them the challenge of overhauling two identical second hand cars in under 48 hours. The aim for each team is to increase the resale value of each vehicle as much as possible - hopefully more than the other team. At the end of the process, the cars are sold on-line to the highest bidder, with the profits heading to charity.
Along the way, there will be several competitions to win automotive parts and flashy accessories. When the cars are ready there will be a drag race to see which team has done the best mechanical job.
It might take your local mechanic weeks and thousands of dollars to do what these teams are going to attempt to achieve overnight.
Production starts in early July, so if you think you've got what it takes to be a team-member, team-leader, judge or expert adviser, don't delay, contact us for further information:
