saw it friday night..

had really low expectations, but loved it..

if you've seen Point Break.. you'll see its almost the same story line.

the story line is weak.. the stereotypes brutal.. ain't going to win any oscars.. but you'll love it.. i'd actually go see it again (and there wasn't any nudity!!!)

anyhow.. go see it.... non stop action.

you thought the imports were "ricey" now??? the cars are going to be lower, the wings are going to be BIGGER, the vinyl decals more colourful.....

I can't recall a movie that had so much car action, and targeted such a specifc audience.. but apparently it Killed the box office sales...

and the answer to the problem is N O S!!!

I'm going to go see it because I'm desperate for a good car movie. But I'm sure that seeing the fake Charger get its butt kicked by a Eclipse GS (that's a FWD car) is not going to sit well. Or at least, that's what I've heard happens...

the charger is beautiful.. only domestic vehicle.. wasn't used enough.. but for those who love large CI will get a small fix.

again... don't expect much, don't go all technical with it.. just go in with an open mind.. expect the absolute worst..

and you'll come out loving it..

pretty pathetic.. last two movies i've seen in the theatre was

Driven and "she's all that"..

but if you haven't been to a movie for a while.. go see this one..

I went and watched it last night. It wasn't a bad watch... a lot of bad stereotypes and some real misinformation (double clutching... what is it, a tractor?)

I enjoyed it anyway.

A few memorable quotes:

o you should have double-clutched more
o you hit the nitrous "too soon"
o R20 nissan motors (that's a SUV, BTW)
o Wow! 2JZ motor in a Supra (all MKIV Supras have one)
o Motec System Exhaust (cool, programmable exhaust?)
o It's got NOS! (isn't NOS a manufacturer?!?)
o "Give me two nitrous bottles" - one's not enough?

I dug that the Supra couldn't catch the old Dodge even with two stages of nitrous, but the wheelstand was the fakest looking thing I've ever seen. :(

I didn't give any spoilers away because the previews showed that much. :D

I was in Lakeshore Honda yesterday and the manager of the parts department and after market stuff was saying that they have been selling all kinds of 'rice' stuff since Friday and all the customers are saying they seen this stuff in the movie so they are buying it.

maybe i'ts just me.. but i think its going to be a cult type of film..

if anything.. it will for sure push the "rice" movement to the next level....

I personally have not seen it yet.

My plan was the same as Driven. Wait til it comes out on video. But.....if it is a good action movie, well....but, you said it has no nudity! Every good action movie needs a little, even if it is silicone.
