I had to google these things that Ryan posted.

Course design aside, here's an idea of the size of the venue:

Ya, but wasn't he talking about St Eustache?

I've (somehow) never heard of the PMG facility before.

Another PMG vid:

https://youtu.be/qmx-NBTIGcA (https://youtu.be/qmx-NBTIGcA)

Which, coincidentally, is from the first time I autocrossed my Miata after a few years of Subaru chucking.

It ain't pretty. Well, pretty funny maybe.

Is THIS (https://www.google.ca/maps/place/PMG+Technologies/@45.7026231,-73.8728619,2406m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x370647df6340bd22) the place?

That's the place. The autocross is held on the uterus in the middle of the oval.

Both of those vids are of the old pavement. Most courses became one line courses due to how many pebbles would build up just off line.

New pavement that went in a couple years ago has made this a lot better but it's still a low fiction surface that make it a lot of fun to drive as the car slides around a lot more then any other venue I have been to. There is also a good amount of space to make a great course on.

I'm really looking forward to it.

https://youtu.be/mr24RH1ob0k this vid is with the new pavement and a fire for some entertainment.

That course looks awesome! That fire looked scary Mike, glad you were ok. Subaru not so much.

We always say "Mike was on fire that last run" but never mean it literally.

Take my word- its official, and I really hope to see you guys there.

The asphalt is new and grippy. I am making sure that we get a nationals style course.
I will also make sure that we get a tour of the town- Friday night...
The venue will be family friendly- in the past it was not. details to follow.

For now- save the date.

Barry- do not book a regional on this weekend!!

Resurrection!

Looking forward to this! Have never been to PMG yet myself, but I can't miss a national event so close to home.

For myself and a few others at MCO, I'm hoping they run the new SCCA CAM classes. I'm sure there are others in the Toronto clubs that would benefit from this as well.

Which begs the question... will CASC-OR regional autoslalom's this year introduce the CAM classes? </offtopic>

probably isn't an issue if enough people show up prepped according to CAMs rules etc..

I mean, the rules are already there for SCCA, we just piggy back off them.

Yes, but you won't have anyone to play with :)

Of more relevance to you is STP (Street Touring Ponycar). New class for stangs, Camaros etc prepped to ST rules.

Oh, I'll find some competitors!

Did not know about STP though, interesting. Even lower PAX @ .837... Still like the idea of virtually no limitations though. Don't want more work for you guys though.

Off to raise a domestic RWD army!

FWIW CAM isn't a trophy class at SCCA nationals. Not sure what ASNs thoughts on it are.

Any specific hotels people plan on staying at? Maritime crew is already starting to think about booking soon.

What are these new classes you speak of. I googled SCCA CAM and did not see much.

Classic American Muscle... Essentially they are catch-all classes for any big boat, domestic, RWD vehicle produced within the last 30+ years.

Sounds suspiciously like the Team Rental Car class I proposed a few years ago. ;-)
