Hey All,

TAC has been invited to attend the 4pm show on Saturday March 12 of an amazing documentary, Speed Sisters. It's playing at the Bloor Hot Docs Theatre starting on Friday. Details are here:

This is the movie that the stars, director, and producer came out to last year's Time Attack School to talk about. You may recall, they gave a quick demo on the slalom course, then took a couple of cars out on the track. They didn't want to leave, even though they were going to be late for their flights home.

You may have heard me talking about this movie when it played the Toronto Hot Docs festival last May. The movie covers a female racing team, based in Palestine, who try to stay competitive while living in an Arab culture in an occupied territory. The racing is a combination of Autoslalom, drifting, and time attack.

Now we have a chance to see the movie as it is released wide.

You and your guests are invited to the Saturday 4pm show.

Please send an email to president@torontoautosportclub.ca, or SocialDirector@torontoautosportclub.ca, and let us know how many tickets you need. You will be able to pick them up by giving your name at the box office. Please plan on sticking around afterwards, and we’ll grab a bite and discuss the movie.

We need to know by Friday at noon!

Really wish I could make it Rob, I've been wanting to catch this since you talked about it at the school last year. Not in the cards for this weekend though :(

The free screening has come and gone. We had a great time today.

I would urge anyone to see the movie - ideally on Monday evening at 6:30 to hear the director talk about how she found the story, what they went through to film in the occupied territories, and what the girls are up to now.

This is a great film that I hope every racer and their daughters get to see!
