While we're at the DDT. Might be of interest to the Miataphiles. :D

It looks great even to a Honda driver!

With about 10 minutes left of the Sunday MX5 Cup race today, huge accident at turn two with the #9 not even half way down turn two. Car was disabled on the outside after it was hit from behind, very bad spot to be stopped at. Yellow flags going like crazy but the #01 car comes around a bit quick out the outside and nowhere to go. Ends up hitting the #9 car. Both drivers I believe are okay after getting checked.

Would have liked to catch a bit of the MX-5 Cup race. Naively thought we could just walk over from the DDT to watch. What, you need a ticket? And it costs $50?

We'll watch for your photos from the event at the Grand Prix track Michael!

Here's the replay I recorded with my phone as the races were being televised indoors.

Looks like the 01 car panicked a bit. There appears to be room on the outside.

Winding Road has links to the live races along with the past ones including the two races this past weekend. Nikko probably didn't even see the car until the last minute given there was a car in front of him.

Can someone please explain how slow-motion replays work.

Great coverage of both races on the videos. Thanks for posting the link to these Michael.

Interesting that there appears to be no more information on how the #9 car came to be disabled and stopped on turn 2.
