As asked in the other thread... CAC require a Solo 2 license, which in Ontario is CASC-OR Basic Licence.

The application is availalbe at CASC-OR Forms & Downloads (http://www.casc.on.ca/forms.php) , pick Competition Licence Application Form (http://www.casc.on.ca/forms/Competition%20Licence%20Application%20Form.pdf), read the instuctions and print the form out.

Follow the instructions, fill everything out, enclose payment of $50 and mail to the indicated address. It would be a good idea, with two weeks until the event to give Steve at CASC-OR a call to make specific arrangements to ensure you get it before the event.

Ok, I have confirmation and clairification about the Solo 2 licence.

A valid membership card from a ASN Canada FIA affiliated club is sufficient for the CAC event.

The is no need to run out and get a CASC-OR Basic licence (although it couldn't hurt....).

REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR CASC-OR CLUB AFFILIATED MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH YOU TO CAC......!

Hope you have that in writing from someone in charge. It would be a shame for all of you guys to show up to kick butt and not be able to run.

Good luck everyone.

Thanks for the clarification Wes.
I recall last year at the Slemon event in PEI all they wanted was to see my PMSC membership card too. They also have a provision that it's an extra $2 if you don't have any membership at all for a temporary one... But that's PEI, and we all know that the east-coasters are a little easier-going than the rest of us.

so it's just like at the nationals last year where club cards were sufficent when I got to the event but was told before hand that I needed a basic competition license....

YES!!.. I was speaking to Carl on Sunday at the Ottawa event and all you need to bring is our CLUB ASN/FIA affilated club card!!

eg. MCO card, MSOC, HADA, TAC etc.....

nothing fancy shmancy, he recognizes a few names on the site and they're looking for some fun east vs. west competition

they're totally friendly and Hyped about the event, the after hours should be just as much fun as the two day event

word on the street is you can still show up the day of and still run
email him!!
