Hi all

I've got a question about importing cars to Canada which has just been bugging me for the past few months. I know someone in the community has an older TVR(s?), he shows up to PMSC events. Were these cars legal for import then or was there a special way of doing it? What are the rules? All I could get from the government site is that if the safety standards aren't up to Canadian levels the car is not sold here and therefore not legal for import. Oh yeah, they can be imported if they are 15 years old or more. However, I could have sworn I heard talk that someone had the new TVR Tuscan Speed Six on order. Is this only for track use and therefore not legal for street use/not legal to register?

Thanks :)

If you don't intend to plate the cars, no problem!

heh

Personally, I'd call Motorex or another importer that knows what to do, and arrange it. Apparently the legal wranglings and paperwork need an experienced person to make things happen - or so I've heard.

Of course, since i haven't done it, I can't honestly make a claim as to how difficult it is to import one.

uhm I might be mistaken but isn't there a TVR dealer across the street from Heimrath Porsche at Lawrence and Pharmacy?

I meant Lawrence and Pharmacy in Scarborough(Toronto)

I may be wrong, but I do believe that TVR pulled out of North America a couple of years ago.
