Hi folks,

Some bad news unfortunately. I've been unable to receive any confirmation from St. Lac on the final two events of the year at Picton.

At this point, I have to assume that the event isn't on and inform you all so that you hopefully have a chance to head to Whitby this Sunday for, what will now be, the final event.

I do have an inquiry for a further event, but for now you should assume that Event 7 at Whitby is the final of the season.

Apologies for wrenches thrown into plans by this, I was certainly looking forward to going myself.

Championship will now be best 4 out of 7. If we DO find an 8th event, it will return to best 5 out of 8.

Ok, got some good news: Thanks to our friends at WOSCA I can confirm an 8th event of the season.

Oct 2nd in Sarnia. Full details follow. We're back to best 5 out of 8.

Too bad. Was hoping to try and catch Darcy on a faster course.

well, you may get your chance in Sarnia. and, that's the Darcy with the home built special...this Darcy isn't that quick.

hope to see you all in Sarnia on the 2nd. It will be worth the drive.

Yes, WOSCA is pleased to be hosting Event #8.

If you have never been down to Sarnia to a WOSCA event at Hiawatha, here is a video from our Event this past Sunday to give you an idea of what you can expect on October 2nd....

I'm coming! Awesome space.

It's hard to tell but is that lot as big as one of the US National courses? What are the dimensions?

Just an idea - if it's as big, maybe consider recreating one of this year's courses?

expect 25-35 steering inputs (as recommended in the autoslalom bible)- anymore and its tiring, and any less and you'll be sleeping by the end of the run. typically a 60+ second course.

Dina, the lot size allows for about a 1.0-1.2 km course length if it doubles back and crosses. When we have 30 drivers, we get 8 competitive runs including a 30 minute lunch break. With enough drivers, we can run/marshall/rest and change marshall's on the fly after their runs- we'll see.

total lot size is about 500 feet across the top and 600 feet long- triangular type lot shape. However, there are some rain sewer grates and a line of broken asphalt we need to work around. lots and lots of paddock space.

see you there!

Killer - if we are not getting half the event rained out like earlier this year. ;)
