I've heard from Toronto Motorsports Park and they will be unable to reopen their road course in time for our Event #5 there July 17th.
The good news is that we will be able to use the new Dunnville Autodrome racetrack, which was to host Event #6 on Sunday the 18th and our lapping afternoon on the 16th.
Now nobody needs to worry about pulling up their tent stakes and driving to Cayuga for Saturday, everyone can stay in Dunnville for the weekend!
On another note, I've just talked to Rob Bassett at the Dunnville Autodrome and he says they've almost finished the paving process. There is still a small portion of the track left and the pit entrance/exit to do which is scheduled for Friday morning. He's been at this for the last two nights solid and sounded quite excited about the whole thing.
Apparently the track, to be known as the "Stewart" circuit, required approximately 2300 tons of asphalt! A 16' strip all around the layout was done Monday night, and almost all of the rest last night.
