edition #1 of What I Learned:

1. There is a great crop of novices in 2017 - veterans need to watch out for new speed in the field.
2. Great helpful and fun people abound in this hobby/sport.
3. Never trust a Mosport weather forecast, ever.
4. CTMP marshals are awesome, standing out in the rain to let us have fun, are you kidding !
5. 26+ spins in the day and only 1 hard hit. A new record.
6. Many new converts to playing in the rain, never come in.
7. Thanks to all who made the 27th a fun day.

Gary

Is there a lapping day on Friday before the TMP event? or just the evening session that TMP has on there web site?

No OTA lapping on Friday. Only the regular TMP lapping.

WIL.
Take one Mustang.
Add three year old worn ZII's.
Put them on a wet cool track.
What do you get?
One WILD lap after another.
Thanks Gary. Fun day.

#1: I hate rain in the paddock, but it's great in the car!
#2: DDT has a wet line. Finding it made me feel like Max Verstappen at Interlagos!
#3: This day had a very CTDA feel to it. I liked it!
#4: Hitting apexes is great until the water level at Turn 2 exceeds the height of your air filter.
#5: As Trevor said, no matter how short you make the CTDA, Stephen still needs a tow truck. (Fingers crossed!)

**First time on a wet track in a recently finished car**

1- Wet track + RWD + Boost = Hella fun sideways!
2- RE71R performed very good in the rain
3- Following fast drivers nets you fastest lap of the day! Thanks Andre
4- Learning the different lines on a fully wet track vs. damp track vs. dry track
5- You learn something new EVERY time you hit the track

I think that I got away with it. Must have thought I was in my other Subaru!

Stock ones don't mind water up to the hood line, roughly. Deviate from stock and you now own the reliability issues that go along with that.

1. John P. is hilarious and a good driver to boot.
2. The S2k doesn't rotate as crazy on DDT as it did on TMP
3. DDT is still tons of fun and I missed it tons
4. OTA runs a good well timed event

at test and tune...

1. It is great to be back on track after a year's hiatus.

2. Despite the kinks, I'm starting to really enjoy the new DDT layout.

3. No matter how many times I soak my race boots, they never run out of blue dye to colour my feet.

4. The marshals were truly dogged in manning their posts through all the rain - many thanks!
