View Full Version : Have a friend who would like to be a passenger in a race car at CTMP

I have a good friend whose husband is somewhat of a car guy, she asked if there is any way someone could take him for a ride at the CTMP GP track for a few laps in a real race car so he can experience the speed.

Unfortunately my car only has one seat or I'd do it.

Are there any opportunities this summer at CTMP where people like him can get a ride for a few laps (maybe a lapping/test day), or any kind of event for charity that it can be done for a fee/donation ? I think someone in a Radical took my brother out for a few laps during a lapping/test day a few years ago, something like that would be the bomb.

Gotta be a real race car, the more exciting the better (but still within a safe envelope of course).

Guessing race doesn't allow passengers in practice?

June 24th we'll have fast cars in the OTA instructor and Lapper sessions. Please make sure he has a Snell helmet that fits, long sleeve shirt, long pants and closed toe shoes. We'll find some folks to take him for a ride. He can hang out in pit lane for those two sessions and ask people for a ride. :) Some instructors may prioritize taking their students.

Also on June 24th around noon, we'll have an Alligator Cruise around the track. He'll join a chain of cars at a controlled pace in his own car, no helmets.

On June 25th, there's practice for the Time Attack practice sessions in the morning where he MAY be able to talk himself into some folks cars. No guarantees, some people are serious about running at competition weight.
